First Meeting to Look at Homes or Listings

Once you have your financing meeting with a local mortgage lender and your pre-approval letter in hand, it is time to begin viewing homes in person.  The MLS search is a great place to start, using this website. The lender has given you a "Good Faith Estimate" and you know how much you want to spend and have a good idea of the closing costs involved to make a new home purchase. 

What is the best way to view properties in person? Call your local real estate broker or agent. They will set up appointments at any listing and become the single point of contact in your home purchase transaction. Once you are comfortable with that person, sign the exclusive buyer agency contract which allows the broker to represent your interests in the transaction as BUYER and be paid by the seller.
